KNIFE MAKING COURSE

This is a weekend course to make a knife, yes it should be possible given enthusiasm and a little patience.

A knife of my design/pattern will be yours if you learn to unlock the potential of the steel.

All tools and specialist equipment is provided, a maximum of 6 students only so that there is a high instructor to student ratio.

Potential students are to be able to use simple hand tools like a hacksaw file and a power tool.

If in doubt about your abilities with regards to this you can contact a Bushtruck member of staff for advice. The course will be run from a base camp in the woods, or accommodated in a B&B during winter months. students are self catering. You will also need to bring a tent/basha, one can be borrowed. Dependant on personal abilities your knife may need to be completed at home (final honing/sharpening etc)

There may also be insufficient time to construct a belt sheath, leather for this can be provided.

A certificate of attendance will be given on completion of the course.
