Basic Bushcraft
This course is a weekend course giving you an introduction to Bushcraft. No previous knowledge is required as it is aimed at a novice.
The Basic course also leads onto the foundation course for those who wish to take their skills further.
The course is in a woodland environment and you will be sleeping out under a tarp. Food is self catering . An outdoor kitchen is provided. There may be an opportunity to try a wild meal dependant on circumstances.
The minimum age for this course is 18 and there is no upper limit although a reasonable level of fitness is required.
The subject area will be based on Fire Water shelter and food.
First aid and rescue will also be covered towards the end of the weekend. All specialist equipment is provided and equipment can be borrowed.
Finally you may also bring binoculars as local wildlife is outstanding. Opportunities are there for some excellent observations for the patient observer. A certificate of attendance is to be issued on successful completion of the course.

Foundation Course
This is a week course which leads on from the basic and offers Participants a much more intense study of bushcraft. The subjects covered are fire by friction, water, shelter construction (students to spend at least 2 nights in their shelter) basic carving, trapping and preparing game.
Gathering natures wild harvest, edible and useful mushrooms. Primitive fishing skills will also be covered.
There will be opportunities to watch local wildlife and try your hand at tracking.
This course is run from a base camp in the woods and students are under a tarp/basha for the first few days, then you will be encouraged to sleep in the shelter you have made.
Students to provide their own food for the week, and shopping trips will be organised daily.
All specialist equipment is provided and you are encouraged to bring your own. Equipment can be borrowed. Please do not bring your own axe as one may be provided if required.
The course starts the night before the start date at 19.00hrs, so you get a full 7 days, and ends 15.00hrs on the final day.
This is an excellent course, with people describing it as a key to unlock all your further training in bushcraft.

Bushman Course
This course is three days (over a weekend)
Starts 1500 Friday and finishes 1500 Sunday
The course is mobile and is in the Yorkshire dales.
Participants to provide own equipment.
Also the course is self catering
The course is a three day walk, not a great distance, lightweight expedition style camping

Participants must have a reasonable level of fitness as all equipment is carried in a rucksack.

Tracking Course
This is a weekend course it is a very basic introduction to Tracking and is aimed at a novice. The course takes place over a weekend and is run from a base camp in the woods. The course is self catering although an outdoor kitchen is provided. Accommodation is either a tent or basha, these can be borrowed, The aim is to make Participants track aware, Increase awareness of surroundings, use of a tracking stick and plaster casts as an aid to tracking. There may also be opportunities to observe local wildlife, so bring binos, set
Track traps and camera traps. The course will end with a tracking exercise to test your new skills. A certificate of attendance is issued on completion of the course.

Team Building
Bushtruck instructors have a very broad base of experience in all aspects of the outdoors, and hold National Governing Awards in (N.G.Bs) Kayaking Canoeing, Single pitch rock climbing, Archery and many more. All instructors are first aid trained, some hold advanced first aid certificates and are part of a rescue team. Bushtruck has also got a vast knowledge about team building/personal development and as such can offer potential clients purpose built team building exercises to suit your needs as a company.
These can be a one day event or more. All specialist equipment is provided along with potential venues. We are willing to travel to your location.
Although team building is potentially a hard skill area we also cover soft skills in very great detail. The day is run in a positive learning environment with Participants being encouraged to get the best from themselves and each other. Taster days can be arranged at a reduced price for the sceptical as a get to know you day.
Food will be provided either as a meal at a local Public House or as a packed lunch, this is dependant on your needs and the contents of the course.
The subject areas can range from mountain rescue type incidents, survival exercises, pioneering and archery. Paint balling, clay shooting and 4x4 driving can also be arranged.
